ZES Unica
Single Special Economic Zone for Southern Italy
Our Teverola office is right inside the ZES Unica. We support companies investing in Southern Italy through the whole tax-credit process: from checking eligibility to filing with the Italian Revenue Agency and using the credit.
What it covers, eligible regions and how it works
What it covers
- New machinery, plant and equipment for production sites in the zone
- Buying, building or extending business premises and land, leasing included, up to 50% of the investment
- Projects by companies already in the zone or setting up there
Eligible regions
Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily, Sardinia, Molise and the assisted areas of Abruzzo. The zone has also been extended to Marche and Umbria.
How it works, every year
- CheckEligibility, location, company size and how it combines with other aid.
- Advance noticeFrom 31 March to 30 May, listing the year's actual and planned spending.
- InvestmentInvestments completed by 31 December.
- ConfirmationFrom 3 to 17 January of the following year. Missing it means losing the credit.
- Using the creditOffset against taxes via form F24, at the rate set by the Revenue Agency.
If requests exceed the available budget, the credit is reduced pro rata. This is a summary updated to October 2026: talk to our consultants to assess your investment.

ZES Unica extended to 2028: the next deadlines
The 2026 Budget Law extended the tax credit for investments in Southern Italy to 31 December 2028. Companies that filed for 2026 must now confirm the investments they completed.
Deadline Confirmation 3–17 January 20272026 super-depreciation: how the scheme replacing Transition 4.0 and 5.0 works
For 4.0 capital goods bought from 2026 there is no longer a tax credit but an increase in the depreciable cost of up to 180%.

The Ministry of Enterprise funds 50% of SME plans to adopt cloud and cybersecurity services. Drafting of applications opens on 20 October.
